July 13, 2021

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure is the 9th SDG.

Industry,  Innovation, and Infrastructure

The United Nation’s ninth Sustainable Development goal focuses on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation. With manufacturing growth declining and the need to finance small-scale industries, this goal supports domestic technology development, research and innovation.

Research has shown that bees and their structures have long influenced building designers and engineers in industrial manufacturing, architecture, transportation, communications, health care, computer science, and other domains.

People have always been fascinated by bees. Observing them often inspires innovation more notably in building design and education. Read below for more information on how bees can be influential to building design and education in the science and technology fields.
