The Best Bees Company offers unpaid internship opportunities to college students who are required or permitted to complete an internship in exchange for academic credit. Our internships are based in Boston but accept applicants nationwide. Although we accept applications year round, we require the most staffing from late spring through early fall, and are able to accommodate more interns during these months. There are a variety of different tasks that interns will have the opportunity to complete, including: beekeeping, honey harvesting, wax processing, hive and frame fabrication, honeybee health research, and in some cases, custom beehive design. As our needs vary by season, so too do the tasks that interns are expected to perform. It is important to note that this is a demanding, messy, hands on job, sometimes requiring long hours and extensive driving, particularly for those who are with us full time.

If you are interested in applying for an internship with The Best Bees Company, please contact us using the form below. In addition to a resume and cover letter, please include pertinent information regarding your internship requirements, the name of your college or university, whether or not you have a valid driver’s license, if you have access to an iOS or Android smartphone device, and whether or not you have previous experience beekeeping. As we receive many applications, our process is quite selective, and it may take us some time to get back to you. If you have any further questions regarding the internship program, please include them in the body of your message.
