Fruit and Honey Smoothie Recipes

Fruit honey smoothie

These four different fruit and honey smoothie recipes are delicious, nutritious, and dairy-free, and take just a few minutes to make.  Some require freezing ingredients a few hours before preparation.

 

Protein-rich Almond Butter and Banana Smoothie

Makes one large serving.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of almond butter
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 small-to-medium sized banana
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of protein powder
  • 6 ice cubes
  • Dash of cinnamon

Put all ingredients in a blender and puree until nice and smooth.

About 400 calories

 

Acai Berry and Honey Smoothie

This recipe makes one large smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of unsweetened, frozen acai berry puree
  • 1 medium frozen banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup of strawberries, stems and leaves removed
  • 2/3 cup of pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2/3 cup of almond milk, or unsweetened soy milk
  • 3 ice cubes

Place ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

About 400 calories  

 

Neon Green Smoothie

This recipe makes one serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of pineapple chunks
  • ¼ of an English cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • ½ of a large pear, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • ¼ cup of chopped spinach 
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 4 ice cubes

Put all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth—about 1-2 minutes.

About 225 calories 

 

Coconut/Watermelon Smoothie

This recipe makes one serving.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of coconut milk
  • I cup of frozen watermelon chunks
  • ½ a small banana
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • ½ cup of strawberries, stems and leaves removed
  • 2 ice cubes

Place the ingredients in a blender and run on medium until thoroughly mixed and smooth.

About 190 calories.
